A slow growing deciduous tree in the citrus family (Rutaceae) from South Africa with a large crown that reaches 25-40 feet wide. The showy spikes of lilac flowers extended above the foliage in the early summer. Protect from the wind and do not plant in sandy soils. Best in full sun with regular summer watering
